Tiramisu and Franciacorta

Tiramisu and Franciacorta

Wine with a tasteful perlage, complex and subtle, Franciacorta is made in Lombardy, in the territory of the same name and it is one of the most important Italian sparkling wines.

It is a perfect wine for all meals, ideal with greasy combinations with a sweet tendency (winch shall not be confused with sweetness). The sweet tendency of a wine can be defined as a veiled sweetness, typical of starches, while sweetness of food is typical of desserts.

Franciacorta is not a sweet wine, so it is not ideal with Tiramisu, but it definitely has a sour component and effervescence which can balance the greasy component of the mascarpone cream. As for Prosecco, also for Franciacorta we can find a classification of wines depending on their sugar content. For this reason, we can say that the Demisec is the most suitable typology for the dessert, given its high sugar content.
