Among the traditional recipes, the most popular are very similar: the recipe of Le Beccherie restaurant in Treviso (Veneto region) and the one of Albergo Roma in Tolmezzo (Friuli Venezia Giulia region).

The ingredients are exactly the same.

These ingredients inspired the ORIGINAL category: a challenge for those who believe that the tradition needs to be respected.

TIRAMISÙ WORLD CUP’S CHOICE

We tried them and we chose them. Those are the ingredients that will be part of the best tiramisù in the world.

We will reveal them a little at a time, because good things should be enjoyed slowly.

THE PLATE

The Tiramisù World Cup’s official plate will be signed by Tognana: a unique porcelain, limited edition, and only the competitors and the judges will find in their kit.

It will be sized 18 x 14 cm: in order to pass the selections, you will have to prepare a single dose of tiramisù, and that’s why the competition will be so challenging!

Don’t be too relaxed: the juries of the semifinals and of the final are going to be demanding. 😉

It will also be the perfect reason to discover Treviso, also known as the “garden of Venice”, and its wonderful surroundings: the Sile river, the Venetian Villas, the Prosecco hills, and much more.

RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT,
AVOID THE WASTAGE

We will mix huge amounts of ladyfingers, eggs, mascarpone cheese, coffee and sugar and we will cover them with cocoa powder: it will be a big tiramisù-party.

We will do it in a extraordinary mixture of cultures, ages, jobs and origins: united by this special, world-famous dessert, in one of those Italian districts that can count on a unique union of art, culture, history, food, wine and experiences.

It’s going to be a big party also because we (the organisation, the staff, the competitiors, the juries and the spectators) are going to manage the correct separate collection of waste, respecting the environment.

We will be able to do that thanks to Contarina, which supported us to become a real GREEN event.

Only people who are 18 or older and non-professionals can join the Tiramisù World Cup. “Professional” means anybody who has worked, in the past 2 years and for at least 6 months even if non-consecutive, in a professional kitchen or in a bakery and pastry kitchen, in any capacity.

Assistants (waiters, shop assistants, bartenders) are not to be considered as professionals.
