Carnival Tiramisu
Ingredients for Carnival Tiramisu
Here’s what you need to prepare this special version of tiramisu:
- 300 g of crostoli (chiacchiere, frappe, or bugie, depending on the region)
- 250 g of Lattebusche mascarpone
- 3 fresh Amadori eggs
- 80 g of Italia Zuccheri sugar
- 1 cup of cold Hausbrandt espresso
- 2 tablespoons of orange liqueur (optional, for an aromatic touch)
- Grated zest of an organic orange
- Unsweetened cocoa powder q.s.
- Powdered sugar for decoration
Preparation of Carnival Tiramisu
Prepare the cream: Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks with the sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Add the mascarpone and continue mixing until you get a smooth cream. Whip the cream until stiff and gently fold it into the mascarpone and yolk mixture.
Set aside half of the crostoli and break them into coarse pieces. Lightly soak the crostoli in coffee mixed with orange liqueur. Assemble the tiramisu by alternating layers of soaked crostoli and mascarpone cream. Finish with a layer of cream and dust with cocoa powder and powdered sugar. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Tips for an Even More Indulgent Version
- If you love chocolate, add dark chocolate shavings between the layers.
- For a caffeine-free version, replace the coffee with orange juice or milk and cocoa.
- For an extra crunch, add some whole crostoli on top before serving.
The Carnival Tiramisu is an original dessert that will win everyone over with its perfect combination of mascarpone creaminess and crostoli crunchiness. Prepare it and celebrate Carnival with a unique and irresistible sweet treat!
