The Tiramisù World Cup, the “sweetest challenge of the year”, which for years has brought together hundreds of fans from all over the world in love with this famous Italian dessert, celebrates the “Tiramisù Day” on Sunday, March 21, 2021 with an Overseas Session dedicated to the popular dessert. Experts, food bloggers, chefs and international guests will share and prepare their recipes in a live event on the Tiramisù World Cup social networks from 10 am until 1 pm (West Coast Time). The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 21, on the occasion of the “Tiramisù Day”, the international day dedicated to the world’s most loved creamy dessert. From 10 am to 1 pm (West Coast Time), food bloggers, chefs and foreign Institutions (in particular from the USA, Russia and Canada), will spend three hours by preparing their own tiramisù and talking with Francesco Redi and Alessandra Gambini, an Italian author living in Los Angeles, known for her books “A Queen in the Kitchen” and “No Ketchup on Spaghetti”.
As for every TWC event, this one will see the participation of important names from the confectionery industry, experts and representatives from the Institutions. Among them: Silvia Chiave (General Consul of Italy in California), Cyntia McLoud and Christina Conte (both food bloggers), Francine Segan (food historian).
“We have a large community that follows us enthusiastically even from overseas, says Francesco Redi, creator and organizer of the Tiramisù World Cup. In this new phase of social restrictions, the “Tiramisù Day” represents a way for everyone to stay at home while following their passion, and sharing it with people from far away, by using the technology at our disposal. Obviously, it will not be possible to taste the creations, but that will be done in the live competition that will take place in the next autumn in Treviso-Venezia. Registration to join the competition are already open on our website www.tiramisuworldcup.com.”
It will be possible to follow the live event on March 21, from 10 am to 1 pm, through the social channels Youtube and Facebook.
The brand-new book of creative tiramisù recipes, such as the “Mojito Tiramisù” and the “Tiramisù with Cinnamon and Ginger”, will be presented on this occasion, it has been translated into English and it can be found in attachment to this press release.
