After the adrenaline-filled edition of the Tiramisù World Cup 2019 and the tour de force of sweets and cakes with the arrival of Christmas and New Year’s holidays, we at the Tiramisù World Cup were sure to find our competitors still in the recovery phase after the festivity days but… we were wrong! They turned out to be stronger than ever!

It’s been a while since we wanted to propose a different challenge to our Competitors to put them to the test. The ingredients: just hand whips and lots of elbow grease!

And then the idea of the first TWC “carbon free” Warm Up took shape. It was held on Sunday, February the 2nd at Magie d’Inverno in San Vendemiano (Treviso), a nice and interesting event that takes place every year from November until March. It was quite a success!

In view of all the applications we received, we managed to make 9 challengers compete against the expected 6, coming from all over Veneto and beyond: Rovigo, Padua, Venice, Treviso and Pordenone!

The participants could train in the Original Receipe of Tiramisù, using only ladyfingers, eggs, sugar, mascarpone cheese, coffee and bitter cocoa.

We must admit we were surprised to find out that for some of them the hand whip is not the exception, but the rule!

Many people attended the event: some to cheer the participants, some out of curiosity, some to taste the creations of our Competitors. Francesca Piovesana, World Champion of Creative Tiramisù 2018, also attended the event as the Godmother.

The winner was decreed by a Jury from all over Veneto, headed by our Star from the Tiramisù World Cup 2019 Rossella Favaretto! Among the 4 finalists it was Francesco who defeated the challengers Gianna, Paola and Massimo with a tiramisù worthy of his profession as a graphic designer and with a staggering score!

How many of you would be able to prepare a tiramisù worthy of a Champion just using the hand whip?
