For the delight of gluttons all over the world, registrations to become one of the judges for the Tiramisù World Cup are open, you can become one of the judges who will taste as many ad 600 desserts to proclaim “the best tiramisù in the world” in 2018. Everyone can take part, by registering on website www.tiramisuworlcup.com.

It is the most delicious occasion that the “greedy” have been waiting since the last edition. The Tiramisù World Cup, that will take place from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th November 2018 in Prosecco Hills in Treviso, goes looking 180 “gourmet judges” who will be part of the jury that will have to proclaim the “best tiramisu in the world”, both for the “creative” version, and for the “original” version of the dessert (mascarpone cream, eggs, ladyfingers, sugar, coffee and cocoa).

This yeas for the Semifinals and the Finals (Sunday 4th November in Treviso) there will be a jury of experts, instead for the Selections (Conegliano 1st November, Pieve di Soligo 2nd  November, Valdobbiadene 3rd November) the “gourmands” will be chosen among those who is registered on the site www.tiramisuworldcup.com. But it’s not so easy! This year be lucky and hungry will be not enough to become a judge: indeed it will be necessary pass a mini-test to prove you thoroughly know the rules of the TWC, “original” recipe and the story of the most famous spoon dessert. There will be questions like “Are the ingredients to prepare the original tiramisu 4?”, “Is it allowed to replace the ladyfingers with other biscuits in the preparation of the Creative Tiramisù?”, and then “Is the use of alcoholic or alchohol-base ingredients allowed in the creative recipe?”.

A position will be assigned to you base on the test result, so you can be “judge”during the competition, “reserve judge”, or simply be part of the public who observe the competitors.

“In the last edition, with the selection among the public, we had already foreign guest who tasted and voted the hundreds of tiramisu during the competition, but this year we hope will have “judges” from all over the world “ – Francesco Redi of Twissen, organizer of the event, explains. “In this edition we wanted to add a small challenge with the test, for those who want to be in the jury and have the opportunity to taste what could be the Champion of 2018.”

More and more: on the website you can also find the page “Tiramisù Hotel”, which have a list of the hotels associated with Confcommercio that will offer a “welcome tiramisu” to their guest.

From the section you can also obtain the “Tiramisù Card”: a booklet of agreements with bars, restaurants and businesses associated with Fipe-Confcommercio and not only. One last big news is the “Tiramisù World Cup Extra”: a set of cultural events that allow you to enjoy Treviso in a different way, from the “Stories of Tiramisù in Treviso (on 31st October) to the “Cantata del Caffè” (on 3rd November).

For the competition, the Tiramisù World Cup chose the “ingredients” by the following companies: Matilde Vicenzi (ladyfingers), Hausbrandt (coffee), Lattebusche (mascarpone cheese). Besides them, Astoria Wines, Dolcefreddo Moralberti, Tognana Porcellane and Best Western Premier BHR Treviso Hotel.
