In collaboration with the Tiramisù Academy, 8 hours for a fundraising initiative for tourism micro-enterprises and catering in Venice. For the young chefs joining the event, a gift from a famous “gentlemouse”…
The long live broadcast with Tiramisu fans is getting closer and closer. On Sunday 29 November, from the headquarters of the Tiramisù World Cup in Treviso, the “Tiramisù Global Marathon” will start, the challenge in which non-professional chefs from all over the world will take part in the preparation of the dessert. And during the event there will be some exceptional guests with their recipes and cooking experiences.
From 10.00 a.m. on Sunday 29 November, participants of the Tiramisù Global Marathon will connect from every corner of the world – each in their own time zone and in the local language – and will present their personal version of Tiramisu. “The initiative, created in collaboration with the Tiramisù Academy (www.tiramisuacademy.org), takes place in a period that obliges us to stay at home and for this reason it is possible to re-invent our habits and experience new activities – says Francesco Redi, organizer and founder of the Tiramisù World Cup – . We gathered a lot of Tiramisu lovers in an online contest and the response was great: it will be an 8-hour live show with guests from the sector (and not) and… some great surprises!”.
Among the scheduled speeches, we have Roberto Lestani, president of the FIPGC, Federico Zani of Benetton Rugby and the Rugby National team, Fabio Carbone and Nicola Sorrentino (both professors at the Jean Monnet University); then the Associazione Italiana Sommelier, the Venezia Football Club. At 4.00 p.m. the very young “chefs” who will join us will receive a fantastic gift from Geronimo Stilton, the mouse journalist most loved by children all over the world, thanks to the collaboration of Edizioni PIEMME and the Geronimo Stilton Foundation, presided over by the writer Elisabetta Dami, former godmother of the 2018 edition of TWC Junior. At 1pm, during the time slot in English language, there will be an exclusive Tiramisù Experience with Ugo Massabò, founder of Tiramisugo – Award Winning Tiramisu – who will show you how to prepare Tiramisu following the traditional recipe.
Here are the countries represented by the TGM members so far (few places still available): Canada (Toronto), Brazil (including Curitiba, Sao Paulo and Carangola), Venezuela (Caracas), Egypt (Cairo), Kenya (Nairobi), Iran (Tehran), China (Shanghai); from Europe: Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and of course Italy.
