All around the world, March 21st is Tiramisù Day, the day dedicated to the most popular and beloved Italian dessert. To celebrate, Eataly stores in New York and Toronto will be hosting special Tiramisù Parties. Join us for show-cooking sessions and taste the recipes created by the stars of the Tiramisù World Cup!
The first day of spring is also Tiramisù Day — a date chosen to symbolize the joy of a season of renewal and the desire to recharge with energy after a long, cold winter.
That’s why Eataly, in collaboration with the Tiramisù World Cup (the event that, for years, has brought together hundreds of tiramisù lovers competing with creative and original recipes), has decided to organize a series of events to pay tribute to the world’s most famous Italian dessert.
For all fans, there will be tiramisù storytelling and delicious tastings, thanks to the partnership with the authentic Matilde Vicenzi ladyfingers.
The celebration kicks off on March 19th at Eataly Downtown in New York City, with tiramisù creations by Chef Maurizio Peccolo, judge at the Tiramisù World Cup and Executive Chef at “Lucca” Restaurant in Bordentown, New Jersey.
Two days later, on March 21st, at Eataly Short Hills in New Jersey, Luigi Pascale — USA ambassador of the Tiramisù Academy and owner/chef of “Ciao Luigi” restaurant in Flemington, NJ — will take the stage.
At the same time, in Toronto, Canada, the reigning North America champion of last year’s TWC selections, Daniela Soda, will be at Eataly Yorkville, located inside the Manulife Centre at 55 Bloor Street West. There too, guests can enjoy tiramisù finger food during the Tiramisù Party.
Francesco Redi, founder and organizer of the Tiramisù World Cup, commented:
“Once again, Tiramisù confirms itself as the most beloved Italian dessert not only in Italy but around the world — a delicacy capable of bridging any geographical distance among dessert lovers. We’re thrilled that Eataly has chosen to organize these events with us, delighting the taste buds of tiramisù lovers everywhere.”
